I am currently an actor, a freelance writer, a poet, a world traveler, a real estate investor, a mentor, and an incurable romantic.

I have retired many times, including: as a business owner and entrepreneur; as a high-tech engineering consultant and troubleshooter; as a stand-up comic; as a cable TV producer/director; as a consumer electronics repairman (long ago) and as a middle-school teacher (recently).  I can't stay inactive or stagnate in a profession that has little left to teach me.

I believe that true long-term happiness begins the moment you stop living the life that others expect from you and start living your own dreams.

Fortunately for me, that happened early in my life.

I have published over a million words--mostly on discussion lists on the internet since 1994, but I've won a few poetry contests, sold a few science fiction, fantasy, romance, and humous stories to paying markets, and edited a few newsletters and ezines.

I've lived half of my dreams, and am now in the process of living the other half.  I've decided to share the best of what I've learned, said, and done with a greater constituancy than I have in the past.  I guess you could say that I'm going public.

I won't please any of you all of the time or some of you any of the time, but that's not what I'm here for.  I tell it like I see it--and have lived it--and let the chips fall where they may.

My primarily goal is to entertain.  I hope to amuse you and even make you smile.  If I slip in a few points to ponder, you wouldn't complain, would you?

My secondary goals are to inform, question, challenge, and enlighten you--and hopefully inspire you to discover things about the world you live in and the people that inhabit it--including yourself.

I hope you enjoy it here--I know I will.
